What support will I get?

As a foster carer, you will be provided with:

  • Training packages to assist you throughout the process
  • Allowances to cover the cost of fostering
  • Full support and guidance
  • Equipment and household resources
  • Professional qualifications. QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care

“Fostering is essential”

Cllr Andrew Atkinson, Lead Member for Children’s Services said, “Fostering is an essential part of how we look after children in Wrexham. People might think that they don’t have the time or the resources to be able to foster, but we want to show people that it could be well within their capabilities.

Being a foster carer is by no means easy, but with the contribution of just some time and effort you could make an immeasurable difference to the life of a child in care.”
