Every day throughout March, we posted a recycling fact on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

We published a blog article taking you through facts 1-10, plus we gave you facts 11-20, so now it’s time to share facts 21-30 with you…

Fact 21: People across Wrexham achieved a recycling, composting and reuse rate of 65.44% for 2017/18.

Fact 22: Energy saving light bulbs can be recycled in all our Recycling Centres.

Fact 23: Glass jars and bottles take up to 2 million years to decompose.

Fact 24: Most of us in Wrexham recycle aerosols and clean foil at the kerbside. It’s easier than ever!

Fact 25: Did you know glass can be recycled over and over again?

Fact 26: You can recycle your old/broken irons by taking them along to any of our Recycling Centres.

Fact 27: Most people are recycling plastic bottles, but did you know that you can recycle shampoo and bleach bottles from your bathroom?

Fact 28: 25 two litre pop bottles can be recycled into an adult-size fleece jacket.

Fact 29: Tin cans, car tyres, trainers, foam coffee cups and leather can take over 50 years to decompose.

Fact 30: More and more of us in Wrexham are recycling plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays. In fact, last year people in Wrexham recycled the equivalent weight of 150 of our recycling collection vehicles.
