As community resource centres go, Plas Pentwyn does seem to have it all covered!
Along with the warm and homely atmosphere, which is demonstrated first hand in the great café that sits in the middle, there’s a wide selection of facilities for the local community to use.
The centre is home to Coedpoeth Library, there’s a number of meeting rooms, and there’s also a computer suite. Events and classes are held regularly, which adds to the warm feel.
Plas Pentwyn will also cater for you if you wish to hold your own event…there’s a large hall for hire which can cover events, conferences and parties.
There’s also business units on the site, including the Happy Days nursery. The delicious café sells homemade foods and drinks. Plus, we can’t forget to mention their popular community garden.
Stacey Deere, Centre Manager says: “Plas Pentwyn Resource Centre is here to provide facilities to the local community. We aim to hold relevant classes and events as well as useful hireable spaces.
“Our community garden, which is maintained and run by local volunteers, has recently achieved the community green flag award. The centre is truly a community resource for Coedpoeth.”
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves…
Plas Pentwyn is based on Castle Road and was funded by the West Wrexham Urban II Programme through the European Regional Development Fund, Welsh Assembly’s Local Regeneration Fund and Wrexham County Borough Council.
