Do you get bin reminder email alerts from us? If not, here are a couple of reasons why you might want to consider signing up to receive them.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “When you’re signed up for the alerts you get a handy reminder email the day before your next collection, but it’s also a good way for us to contact you about any disruptions affecting the service.

“Over the Christmas period, we were able to use the reminders to let subscribers know about any changes, and hopefully those residents felt they knew which bins to put out over Christmas, even when there were disruptions.”

Work in social care and be the lifeline your community needs.

If you want to get our bin reminder alerts, click here and follow the link to sign up. Remember, if you do, you’ll get an email to remind you to put your bins out the day before each collection. If you already get these alerts from us, you don’t need to do anything.

Check the bin calendar

Checking the bin calendar is another way you can stay on top of your collections. You can check the calendar quickly and easily on your smartphone, tablet or device, and doing so will help to make sure you don’t miss your collection day.

You check your bin calendar here:

Calendar 2

Not sure if you’re calendar 1 or calendar 2? No problem, just add your postcode or street name here to find out which collection calendar you are.

If you’re looking for a new career and want to help people in your community, a job in social care could be the right move.
