It’s often many different things…but what if you could have a job where you could make a positive difference to many young lives and help their families along the way?

This would be incredibly rewarding…agreed?

Well this particular job fits this description…

We’re currently advertising for a Residential Child Care Officer to work at the Tapley Avenue Children’s Centre, on the edge of Acton Park in Wrexham.

A BAD DEAL FROM WELSH GOVERNMENT MEANS WE’RE FORCED TO MAKE MORE CUTS. HAVE YOUR SAY…

The job involves giving respite on a planned basis – throughout the year, to children and young people with a disability aged between six and 17 (these include physical or learning disabilities, sensory impairments and/or chronic illness).

It’s a great place to work, and the centre is fully equipped to give the young people all the care they need.

Interested? Read on…

What you’ll be doing

You’ll work as part of a committed and experienced team to make sure that all visitors have an enjoyable stay at the centre. You’ll be supporting the young people and their families with great understanding.

It can be lively and challenging, but pretty special too 🙂

Plus, you’ll have a great network of support and there’s ongoing training opportunities to progress.

What experience do I need?

You’ll need experience of working with children and young people with diverse disabilities (physical or learning disabilities, sensory impairments and/or chronic illness).

You’ll also have a QCF Level 3 qualification or a willingness to undertake this upon appointment.

I’m interested – how do I get in touch?
