The OW Peoples Market Development, which will be known as Tŷ Pawb, will be a cultural community resource, bringing together arts and markets within the same footprint. The coexistence will celebrate the significance of markets within Wrexham’s cultural heritage and identity. Following 43 years in the Wrexham library building as Oriel Wrecsam, Tŷ Pawb will seek to create a new space for dialogue around subjects including social issues, the environment, health, cultural identity and education.
Cllr Hugh Jones, lead member for communities, partnerships, community safety and public protection said: “I am delighted that Focus Wales has been awarded this contract. Their reputation for professionalism and for their commitment to both Wrexham and the Welsh language are known throughout the arts community in Wrexham and I am sure that they, along with myself and Wrexham Council, welcome them on board this exciting event planned for the official opening of Tŷ Pawb on April 2nd”
