The OW Peoples Market Development (OWPMD) is due to open on April 2, 2018 and Wrexham Council have just awarded Focus Wales the contract to deliver the celebratory launch event that will mark the opening of this innovative new space.

Focus Wales co-founder, Andy Jones, said: “We’re pleased to be working with WCBC on this project, and we’ll be putting all of our experience, creativity and energy into delivering an exciting event that the whole of the Wrexham community can enjoy.”

TELL US HOW YOU THINK WE SHOULD SAVE £13M. FILL-IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE NOW.

The OW Peoples Market Development, which will be known as Tŷ Pawb, will be a cultural community resource, bringing together arts and markets within the same footprint. The coexistence will celebrate the significance of markets within Wrexham’s cultural heritage and identity. Following 43 years in the Wrexham library building as Oriel Wrecsam, Tŷ Pawb will seek to create a new space for dialogue around subjects including social issues, the environment, health, cultural identity and education.

Cllr Hugh Jones, lead member for communities, partnerships, community safety and public protection said: “I am delighted that Focus Wales has been awarded this contract. Their reputation for professionalism and for their commitment to both Wrexham and the Welsh language are known throughout the arts community in Wrexham and I am sure that they, along with myself and Wrexham Council, welcome them on board this exciting event planned for the official opening of Tŷ Pawb on April 2nd”

Fill-in our questionnaire now, and make sure you have your say on proposed budget-savings.
