Free online exercise sessions for those aged 60+ via Zoom

Wrexham Council Active Wrexham Team have been given a grant by Sports Wales as part of the Healthy Weight Healthy Wales Action Plan. The 60+ sessions will enable the 60 Plus population in Wales to live longer, better and happier lives by improving their physical activity levels, confidence, strength and balance

Due to current lockdown restrictions we are going to deliver some FREE sessions via zoom which will include Tai Chi/Circuit class and a Gym based circuit sessions. You don’t need to have any experience in exercise to join, our highly experienced exercise professional team will lead you through the sessions. These sessions are open to anyone who is over 60+.

If you are interested and would like to partake in these sessions with our highly trained staff please email Active60@wrexham.gov.uk and one of our instructors will be in touch.

It’s important during the current pandemic you stay active and well. Here’s the reasons to attend our senior exercise sessions:

• Help boost your immune system
• Lower stress levels
• Maintain your independence
• Stay pain free
• Lower risk of heart disease and stroke
• Lower risk of type 2 diabetes, some cancers, depression and dementia
• Reduce the risk of falling
• Meet new friends!

New 60+ Zoom Exercise Timetable

Wednesday: Tai Chi  1.00pm-1.40pm
Wednesday: Circuit Class 2.00pm-2.40pm
Thursday: Tai Chi 1.00pm-1.40pm
Thursday: Gym based Circuit Class 2.00pm-2.40pm
