You might have seen our piece earlier this month on ladies-only walking sessions at Queensway.

Now, our Active Wrexham team – through the Get Out, Get Active project – is supporting a series of ladies-only (16+) free swimming sessions at Plas Madoc Leisure Centre, Acrefair.

All abilities are welcome, and the sessions are fully inclusive. They provide a great opportunity to start swimming, and build your confidence in a safe, ladies-only session.

The swim sessions are available both morning and evening, every Monday and Thursday until July 25.

The sessions are limited – so it’s best to book early.

Cllr Andrew Atkinson, Lead Member for Youth Services and Anti-Poverty, with responsibility for Leisure, said: “Swimming is an excellent way to both get fit and stay fit, and these sessions will be a great opportunity for any women who might not have considered it before to try it out.”

To book, get in touch with Plas Madoc Leisure Centre on 01978 821600.
