Recycling and refuse collection affects all of us – everyone can get thrown off if they miss a bin or recycling collection.
There are minimal changes to the dates this year – particularly around the Christmas season, with residents especially advised to keep a keen eye on changes from Saturday December 23, 2017 to Saturday, January 6 2018.
To make things easier and ensure you never miss a collection again, why not sign up to our MyUpdates service?
TELL US HOW YOU THINK WE SHOULD SAVE £13M. FILL-IN THE QUESTIONNAIRE NOW.
By signing up to the refuse collection reminder on MyUpdates, you’ll receive an e-mail the day before your collection. Just go to www.wrexham.gov.uk/register and fill in your details
Alternatively, the new 2017/18 refuse and recycling collection calendars are available online for residents to download.
To download or print your calendar, go here and type in your postcode.
Once your postcode’s typed in, just click on your property, and the system will highlight your relevant collection day and calendar – this will give you the chance to either print off or save the calendar.
For those residents who do not have access to on-line facilities there will be a limited number of hard copies available at Caia Estate Housing Office, Broughton Estate Housing Office, Gwersyllt Estate Housing Office, Plas Madoc Estate Housing Office, Rhos Estate Housing Office and Wrexham’s Contact Centre on Lord Street.
Cllr David A. Bithell, Lead Member for Environment and Transport, said: “As a growing number of people are now online – especially with the growth of smartphones and tablets – we want to make sure residents are aware that they can now get their waste and recycling calendars online.
“It’s simple to do and won’t take five minutes of your time, but can save residents from missing bin collections.”
