Heroes and happy birthdays – 5 things to do this week!

Well we are starting week five of the summer holiday and there is still plenty to enjoy across the county borough.

Here are five things for you to enjoy with the children this week:

  1. Make a peg superhero!
    On Monday, 21 August, 10.30am-12pmWrexham Museum will give you everything you need to paint, stick and generally get messy while making your very own superhero. Suitable for age 0-3 and costs just £1. Contact 01978 297460 for more information.
  2. Tree Trail and Wood Cookie Art
    Come down to Bellevue Park on Tuesday, 22 August to design some wood cookie art and discover Bellevue’s trees. Event runs from 1.30-3.30pm and is suitable for all ages. Price £2.50. Contact 01978 763140 for more information.
  3. 10th birthday party
    Gwersyllt Library and Community Resource Centre is celebrating its 10th birthday on Wednesday, 23 August! Come down between 1pm and 4pm for a fun-filled afternoon. Call 01978 722880 for more information.
  4. Medieval crafts and legends
    Listen to stories and legends on Thursday, 24 August at Ty Mawr Country Park. There will also be a chance to make some medieval crafts! Come down between 11am and 3.30pm and have a go. Call 01978 763140 for more details.
  5. Books Inside Out
    Children aged 7-10 years are invited to Wrexham Library’s animal-themed creative writing workshop on Friday, 25 August and get creative! The workshop runs from 1pm to 2.30pm and costs just 50p. Booking is essential. Call 292090 for more information.
