How you can make use of the Re-use shop

The above video was filmed in November 2018, so don’t expect to find all the items shown in shop. It’s just to give you an idea of what to expect 🙂

In Wrexham, we’re continuing to get better at recycling.

We’re doing a great job recycling our jars, tins, bottles and papers, but it’s important to remember these aren’t the only things we can recycle in Wrexham.

At Bryn Lane Recycling Centre, there’s a great shop where you can grab a bargain or donate some of your unwanted items – and get this…it all goes to a great local cause!

It’s been described as an ‘Aladdin’s cave’ and we’d have to agree with this 🙂

The re-use shop is run by Nightingale House Hospice, and if you visit you’ll be likely to find sporting equipment, hoovers, prams, furniture, bikes, garden furniture, DVDs, Blu-rays, CD’s and other electrical items amongst other things.

If you’re unfamiliar with the incredible work of Nightingale House; they provide care for the terminally ill and their families – completely free-of-charge, across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire and East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns, including Oswestry and Whitchurch.

All donated items will be cleaned and safety tested before being sold back at the re-use shop – and as you can see from our video, there’s plenty to choose from.

You can donate to the re-use shop at any of our three recycling centres. So our centres at Brymbo and Plas Madoc also have an area set aside for people to donate items.

If you’re unsure where these areas are, just give one of our attendants a shout, and they’ll be able to point you in the right direction.

Ok, that’s enough chit-chat – we’re off to grab a bargain. Catch you later ????
