A very special Dedication Ceremony took place at Plas Acton Cemetery recently.

A Memorial Stone has been placed at the Infant Section of the Cemetery to mark this very special place for parents who have lost their babies.

Jane Marshall, Chaplain at the Maelor Hospital spoke at the Dedication which was attended by parents and Cllr David Griffiths as local councillor.

The Stone reads:

“For all our babies
So dearly loved
So Briefly Known”

The Stone was donated by Peter Morris Funeral Directors of Mold and made by Morris Granite of Denbigh.

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for the Environment and Transport, said: “I would like to thank Peter Morris Funeral Directors for their very kind and considerate donation. This area of the cemetery is reserved for babies and infants, and it’s very important that their parents and relatives have a special place to come and remember their young ones.”
