We’re pleased to be able to offer more traditional building skills training as part of our programme to enable local employers and employees take a huge part in preserving and restoring the heritage of our town centre conservation area.
The courses on offer are free and will be held at Coleg Cambria’s Bersham Road site.
Pricing Conservation work: 21st October 2021
Provide awareness and understanding on how to calculate costs when producing quotations/tenders for work on Traditional Buildings (PRE 1919).
Glass & window repair course: 22nd October 2021
This course deals with timber decay and associated repairs with glass and replacement, approved splicing techniques, glues, fixings, suitable putty for re-glazing, and use of non-ferric fittings.
Stonework & cleaning 29th October 2021
This course provides a mixture of practical and theoretical understanding of stone work including best practice solutions for cleaning, stone preparation and aftercare.

The courses are provided free through the Wrexham Traditional Building Skills Programme. This project has received funding from Cadwyn Clwyd Rural Development Agency, through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014-2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
