The next meeting of our Executive Board takes place on Tuesday, April 9 at 10am.

On the agenda is the proposal to increase pupil numbers at Ysgol Bro Alun which we recently consulted on. The report states that there were no objections and therefore the recommendation is to approve the proposals.

If the go ahead is given the building will have an extension for a further 105 pupils – 15 pupils per year group starting in 2019 which will eventually see 315 pupils at the school with a further 45 in the nursery group.

Cllr Phil Wynn, Lead Member for Education said: “We are committed to increasing our Welsh medium education provision which is very popular with parents. We are keeping up with demand but this will only continue if we increase the numbers we can teach through the medium of Welsh across the county borough.”

Executive Board will meet to discuss these and other matters on Tuesday, April 9 at 10am. The meeting will be broadcast on our webcast and you can watch it live here.
