Parking Enforcement is to resume in Wrexham now that the Coronavirus lockdown restrictions are being eased.

The Enforcement Officers will initially be offering advice to all those not parking in town centre car parks about where to park safely and correctly, where pick up areas are, and where parking can take place for anyone living in the town centre.

Please park in car parks with regard to the time limits so that there is a availability of spaces in short stay car parks as visitors come to town to support the town centre economy.

HOW TO GET A TEST IF YOU’VE GOT CORONAVIRUS SYMPTOMS

Visitors to the town centre are reminded that parking remains free in all our car parks until the end of September.

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council, said: “During lockdown a small minority of drivers thought it was fine to park where they wished, including pavements and in the pedestrianised areas. Now, however, as town becomes busier due to the lifting of restrictions on travel and shop openings it’s essential that responsible parking takes place to ensure safe access for all. Please use the town centre car parks and those operated by Wrexham Council are currently free to use, please use them responsibly and safely in order to support our town centre and everyone who works and visits there.”
