At its next Executive Board meeting members will be asked to approve the scope and terms of reference for a review of Planning Performance.
If approved the review will look at three elements:
- Planning Committee
- Planning Service
- Lessons learnt from the Local Development Plan process.
The proposals are in response to concerns raised over the last several months by elected members and some local residents in relation to Planning Committee and Planning Service.

The review will be overseen by the Chief Executive and will enable officers, Members and other appropriate stakeholders to put forward their views and suggestions for improvement alongside gaining external input, comparison and validation.
