Motorists are being advised of planned overnight resurfacing works on Croesnewydd Road in Wrexham, from Wednesday 5 August until Wednesday 19 August 2026.
The work will be carried out between 6pm and 6am, with a full road closure in place during these hours. Clearly signed diversion routes will be available.
Access to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital car park will be maintained throughout the works via the entrance opposite Moneypenny on Croesnewydd Road.
Access for emergency vehicles will also be maintained at all times.
Residents and motorists should be aware that work will also take place overnight on Saturday 15 August.
Councillor David A Bithell, Lead Member for Environment said, “These resurfacing works are important to maintain and improve the condition of Croesnewydd Road, especially as it is a main route to the Wrexham Maelor Hospital.
We appreciate the patience of residents and motorists while the work is carried out, and we will aim to keep disruption to a minimum.”
We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents, businesses and road users for their patience while this essential resurfacing work is completed.
