The display has been organised and coordinated by the team at Wrexham Visitor Centre and features a 2 metre tall ‘River of Poppies’ alongside poems and remembrance day themed artworks.

Councillor Beverley Parry-Jones, Wrexham Council’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “I’d like to pass on a huge thank you on behalf of Wrexham to the schools, care homes and local groups for the amazing work they’ve put in to create this stunningly beautiful and deeply moving display. The combination of poetry, colour and the detail of the craft is wonderful and a very fitting commemoration for remembrance day. I would encourage everyone heading to Tŷ Pawb over the next week or so to take a few moments for a closer look.

“A huge thank you also to the team at Wrexham Visitor Centre for devising and coordinating this brilliant, community-led project.”

The River of Poppies will be on display at Tŷ Pawb’s reception area until Monday 20th November.
