Windy weather

Updated 1pm, Friday January 24

The surface flooding at our recycling centre in Plas Madoc has receded, and the site is now open again.

Thank you for your patience.

As you probably know, much of the UK is expecting strong winds this Friday (January 24), with Storm Éowyn making its presence felt.

We’ll keep you informed about any changes to council services via social media and this news blog.

In the meantime, here’s a reminder about how to report issues…

You can report any urgent issues (fallen trees etc) to the council on the following numbers:

  • (24hrs) 01978 298989
  • Housing repairs for council tenants (24hrs) 01978 298993. You can also email wrexhamemergency@deltawellbeing.org.uk for out of hours only.

Please only phone if it’s urgent – for other issues, please help us by reporting issues online:

  • General issues
  • Housing repairs

Any issues with power-outages can be reported by calling 105 (Powercut 105 is a free service that will put you through to your local network operator for help and support).

Remember that if there’s an immediate threat to life during any adverse weather event, you should always call 999.

Bin collections

During windy weather, please ensure your recycling containers are secure to prevent materials blowing around.

If it’s your bin day, please take containers back in from the roadside as soon as possible after collection.

Thank you.
