Always remember:What should I do if I’m called?

We have been informed that some residents have received a phone call from Medicor Medical Group, who they claim are affiliated with Delta. They are asked if they have telecare and, if they do, they are then told they need to pay for an upgrade to digital equipment and are being pressured to do so over the phone.

Always remember:

  • Wrexham Council never call someone and take a payment
  • we don’t charge to upgrade telecare equipment to digital
  • finally, if there is something that requires payment you will receive a letter from us asking you to call us on our payment line.

Wrexham council do not work with Medicor Medical Group, so anyone identifying themselves with this company is not legitimate.

What should I do if I’m called?

If anyone is unsure always hang up and ring the official telecare number on 01978 298543.
