“loved by local people of all ages”“some disruption”

Cllr David A Bithell, Lead Member for the Environment and Transport, said:

“The funding for this has come from contributions via a Section 106 to the council and also funding from Offa Community and we are very grateful for their support.  This park is very popular and it is good to see investment taking place to improve it for everyone to enjoy.”

“loved by local people of all ages”

Local Member, Cllr Phil Wynn  welcomed the news and said:

“This park is so well used and loved by local people of all ages and it is essential that it continues to be attractive to everyone.  These works will see improvements to two outdoor sporting facilities and I am very pleased that they are about to start.  I would like to thank Offa Community Council for their financial support.”

“some disruption”

The works will cause some disruption to regular park goers but they will only take a couple of weeks.  When they cause disruption to the main path an alternative route will be made available to make sure people can still enjoy this popular park whilst works continue.
