Ian Roberts, Chief Officer for Education and Early Intervention and Cllr Phil Wynn, Lead Member for Education, said: “We’d like everyone to join with us in thanking all our teachers and teaching assistants for the essential role they are carrying out at this moment in time by looking after vulnerable children and those of key workers. We must also remember those parents and carers who are doing a tremendous job of home-schooling during these days of lockdown and the important contribution they are making to the education and welfare of our children.
“Thank you everyone and we hope things will return to some normality in the coming months but until then please keep up the good work.”
