The Cymru Knievels begin epic circuit of Wales in Wrexham

For the 8th year, the Knievel theme charity event returns to Wales for their epic motorcycle ride around Wales to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

All riders, who will dressed as motorcycle legend Evel Knievel, will leave Wrexham at 9am on Thursday May 2 and return on Bank Holiday Monday, on May 6, at 5pm when they will have completed the 1,070 mile perimeter of Wales.

During their ride they will ride for up to 12 hours day over back lanes and pit lanes, visit remote hamlets and the capital city and take in some in of the most breathtaking scenery in the world!

The Mayor will wave off over 60 Cymru Knievels from High Street which will also be filmed by S4C for their evening proframme HENO.

Since it started in 2012 the event has raised over £70,000 for charity and has grown in popularity and fun.
