The New Music Showcase for Wales Announces 10th Anniversary Edition

FOCUS Wales has become Wales’ biggest music industry event, with 3 days of music, panels and keynote talks, film and art, the festival will see over 250 artists and 250 music industry delegates descend upon Wrexham from around the world.

Performer applications for FOCUS Wales 2020 are now open to artists worldwide via www.focuswales.com

240 acts performed at the 2019 festival, with artists traveling from across the globe from nations including Canada, Korea, France, Catalonia, USA, Estonia, Finland, Ireland and lots more playing alongside headliners including Neck Deep, Cate Le Bon, Boy Azooga, The Lovely Eggs, Snapped Ankles, BC Camplight, 9Bach, and Kero Kero Bonito. The 2020 line-up promises to be the best yet, with some special performances being programmed for the festivals 10th anniversary. The first 50 acts for 2020 will be selected this September, so artists hoping to showcase at the festival are encouraged to submit their applications early.

TAKE PART IN THE COUNCIL PLAN CONSULTATION 20-22

The number of industry reps in attendance grew significantly in 2019, including 200 delegates from festivals, agencies, and media outlets such as Glastonbury Festival, Eurosonic, Cambridge Folk Festival, BBC 6Music, M for Montreal, BreakOut West + many more. With an expanded conference programme planned for 2019, the number of delegates will inevitably rise again. FOCUS Wales will be making conference speaker and programme announcements in the autumn.

Tickets are now on sale via focuswales.com at super early bird prices, starting from just £30 for a standard festival pass, and £80 for a delegate festival pass.
