Proposals to offer free parking after 2pm in most council owned town centre car parks will be put to Executive Board next week.

The offer will be for free parking after 2pm 7 days a week for a 12 month period starting early April.

“Pleased to offer free parking”

Cllr Mark Pritchard, Leader of the Council, said: “I am really pleased to bring these proposals to offer free parking after 2pm to members. It is aimed directly at supporting town centre traders and I hope that, if approved, people in Wrexham will take full advantage of the offer and visit the town centre. There’s lots on offer with some incredible independent retailers offering excellent products.”

The proposals do not include Tŷ Pawb but do include the council’s car parks at:

  • Waterworld
  • Wrexham Library
  • St George’s Crescent
  • Crescent Road
  • St Giles
  • Market Street

If approved we’ll bring you details of when it starts.

There’s also electric charging points at Waterworld – you can read more about that here:
