Maybe you’re a trainee working your way up the world of construction.

Maybe you’re a contractor looking to improve the skills of your workforce when it comes to dealing with traditional (pre-1919) buildings.

Maybe you’re a sole trader looking to widen your skillset and train further in some unique skills which can help you take on a wider range of construction projects.

STAY SAFE – GET THE LATEST ALERTS ON SCAMS, PRODUCT RECALLS AND OTHER PUBLIC PROTECTION ISSUES

Either way, you’ll be interested in these upcoming courses.

And better still, they’re all free, thanks to our Traditional Building Skills programme.

Interested? Read on for more info.

Four free courses throughout the summer

The courses and dates arranged so far are listed below – just click on each one for a poster with more details.

Each of the courses takes place at Coleg Cambria’s Bersham Road Campus, Wrexham (LL13 7UH).

  • Traditional Sash Windows: Care, Repair and Upgrading. Wednesday, June 26.
  • Level 3 Award – Repair and Maintenance of (Pre 1919) Buildings. Thursday, June 27 and Friday, June 28:
  • Heritage Impact Assessments (HIA) and their Understanding. Tuesday, July 9 or Wednesday, August 14

If you’re interested in any of the courses above, get in touch with our Traditional Building Skills team by e-mail on david.davies@wrexham.gov.uk or janine.began@wrexham.gov.uk.

The courses above are free thanks to funding from CWIC and the Wrexham Traditional Building Skills Programme; which has been funded through the Welsh Government Rural Communities – Rural Development Programme 2014 – 2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government
