This winter, libraries throughout the county borough will once again be opening their doors to provide a warm place for local residents.
Launching on Monday, October 27, the Warm Spaces initiative runs during opening hours of our libraries and offers a variety of services and activities throughout the winter months.
A warm welcome and access to hot beverages are on offer to customers wanting to partake in them.

Speaking about the Warm Spaces initiative, Councillor Beverley Parry-Jones, lead member for Corporate and Customer Services said: “The Warm Spaces facility within our libraries is a vital service in our community providing not only a safe and warm space for people, but bringing us together through a variety of excellent groups and activities. It is through programmes such as these that we make new friendships that can last a lifetime. I hope many will take full advantage of the service on offer”.
Could you provide a warm space?
Wrexham Council has received funding of £64,000, via the Welsh Local Government Association, which will be used to support all of Wrexham’s libraries (and the Wellbeing Hub) in providing warm spaces, as well as a small grants scheme for organisations and groups to apply for up to £5,000.
