The winners of the Welsh Music Prize are to headline a day-long, free live music event at Tŷ Pawb.
Adwaith are part of a stellar bill of top Welsh bands who will be performing at Wrexham’s multi-award winning arts centre as part of Dydd Miwsig Cymru on February 8.
Dydd Miwisg Cymru (Welsh Language Music Day) is an annual event celebrating Welsh language music, with multiple concerts and activities taking place at venues across the country.
Following the success of last year’s event, Tŷ Pawb have once again teamed up with the award winning FOCUS Wales team to bring the event to Wrexham.

The big plan for the big day
There will be live music and family friendly activities from 10am.
Then at 2.15pm, we’ll be tuning into the Six Nations where you’ll be able to see Wales V Ireland on the big screen.
The live music continues from 5pm till late with bands including Adwaith, Eitha Da, CHROMA, Worldcub, Melin Melyn and Meilir.

Lead Member for People – Communities, Partnerships Public Protection and Community Safety, Cllr Hugh Jones, said: “Last year’s event was a phenomenal success with hundreds of people of all ages enjoying a feast of great live music. We’re expecting more of the same this year with even more top Welsh bands set to perform and plenty of themed activities taking place throughout the day.
“We’re delighted to be working with the FOCUS Wales team once again to bring this event to Wrexham. There will be something for everyone with a wide range of bands and performers spanning multiple genres. Wrexham is a huge contributor to the current, thriving Welsh music scene and I hope as many people as possible will come and enjoy this fantastic free celebration.”
