We’re on the lookout for a committed and enthusiastic Headteacher for Ysgol Bodhyfryd, a large Welsh medium primary school on the outskirts of Wrexham town centre.

The school is well established in the local area and was the first Welsh medium school to be opened in Wrexham.

COULD YOU BE HEADTEACHER OF OUR NEW WELSH MEDIUM SCHOOL?

  • Is an outstanding practitioner with a proven track record of raising standards and has a clear vision of high quality teaching and learning for all
  • Is enthusiastic and committed to develop each child to reach their full potential through curricular and extra curricular activities
  • Is able to provide a happy and positive experience for the whole school community

If this sounds like a career progressing opportunity for you then please find out more the role and how to apply in Welsh here.

Liz Edwards, Chair of Governors, said, “The school is looking forward to appointing a fully committed and enthusiastic headteacher to take us forward with the new curriculum and to build on the successes of the past.”

“The post has remained vacant for some time due to the Covid-19 pandemic and we are now looking forward to filling this post to ensure continuity for the school going forward.”

Cllr Phil Wynn, Lead Member for Education, said, “Welsh education is in high demand in Wrexham and Ysgol Bodhyfryd is no exception. We’re committed to ensuring that the school is led by a passionate and enthusiastic headteacher who is able to commit to their staff, pupils and the communities in which they live and work.

“The successful applicant can look forward to working leading highly motivated teaching staff into the future.”
