A chance meeting has led to an exciting new venture for the council’s in-house graphic designer, Lisa Fox.
You may already know that Lisa has her own company – Fox & Boo. It is a home, gift and greetings company, selling products at artisan markets across the Midlands and north west, and worldwide through her online store. But this year, things have grown and you will be able to find chocolate with packaging designed by Lisa in shops up and down the country, including John Lewis!
Rewind to last November when Lisa met Lori Whinn, self-defined ‘accidental chocolatier’ and director of Coco Pzazz, based in Powys at a three day Christmas Fayre at Coed y Dinas, Welshpool.
Whilst Lori was initially struck by the Fox & Boo designs, it was the eco Christmas cards (printed on recycled card and supplied with a biodegradable cellophane bag) which triggered the conversation that was to lead to a new opportunity for Fox & Boo.
Both entrepreneurs discovered that they shared a commitment to reduce the impact their businesses have on the environment, so after much planning and burning of the midnight oil, Lisa and Lori have joined forces to collaborate on four new chocolate bars presented in biodegradable packaging featuring Fox & Boo designs.
Lisa is over the moon: ‘Working with Coco Pzazz will bring us much more exposure for our brand and get us in front of new audiences. We are very excited about this collaboration, and are already working on the next four designs’.
The first designs were launched at Top Drawer (trade gift show) at Olympia, London in early January, and were well received, and the new chocolate bars are now on their way to stockists from the north of Scotland to the south of England, including John Lewis and the National Trust later in the year.
Lisa’s website foxandboo.com is filled with beautiful homewares and gifts, so make sure you take a look, and keep your eyes peeled for her products when you find yourselves in gift shops up and down the country.
