Wrexham Council will close most of its office buildings between Christmas and New Year – although critical services will continue to run.
Many councils across Wales and the rest of the UK scale down services over the festive period due to low demand and the cost of keeping buildings open.
This year the council will close its offices at Lambpit Street, Crown Buildings and Ruthin Road around midday on Wednesday, December 24. The buildings will remain closed until Friday, January 2.
By closing these buildings the council will make some efficiencies in gas and electricity costs.
Our critical services will continue to operate. These include housing repairs and support, highways and environment emergency response teams, and certain social care services – although some will be scaled down.
