Wrexham Council have started demolition of a former North Wales Police Station, Cae Gwilym Lane, Cefn Mawr.

By contributing to the Council’s new build programme, this development supports the expansion of social housing options.

The build programme underlines the Council’s dedication to increasing housing capacity, meeting resident needs in accordance with the Allocation Policy, and aligning with Government priorities.

Demolition work on this site has commenced with a planning application to follow shortly thereafter.

Proposals include utilising the site in Cefn Mawr for future social housing development. While the exact type of buildings has not yet been decided, any plans will be shaped by local housing needs.

Councillor David A Bithell Lead Member for Housing and Climate Change said, “While still in the early stages, this development will offer us a valuable opportunity to create new builds and advance our commitment to delivering social housing that meets demand.”
