Young people from across the county were bussed to Ruabon Youth Centre where they enjoyed participating in various activities including archery, darts, pool, table tennis, a silent disco hosted by The Urdd, inflatable basketball shoot out and football target games hosted by Active Wrexham.

Other activities included cake decorating, face painting glitter tattoos, toasting marshmallows over a   fire pit, a photo booth, pizza making and cooking.

Hot dogs and burgers were cooked over a BBQ and an ice cream van was also present much to the delight of attendees!

Lead member for youth services Cllr Phil Wynn said “The aim of the event was to broaden young people’s horizons and encourage community cohesion by developing relationships with young people from across the county borough whist ultimately celebrating youth work week 2024. “We have a great youth provision and team at Wrexham, and this event was a great way to mark Youth Work Week 2024.”
