To get the summer holidays off to a good start, we’ve highlighted five things you can do for free with your children this week in Wrexham.
1. Country parks
Today, how about going to one of our amazing country parks?
We’ve got 11 beauties for you to choose from. The weather’s set to hit 20º today so don’t forget the sun cream. Take a further look here.
2. Tennis coaching
If you live in or around Acton Park your children may fancy some tennis coaching on Tuesday between 1.30pm and 3pm.
With wimbledon just a few weeks ago, we’re sure this event is going to be very popular.
It’s suitable for 6-14 year olds. Just meet at the tennis courts by the Cunliffe.

This year’s theme is ‘Animal Agents.’ For more details just call 01978 292090.
4. Swimming
How about a spot of swimming for the end of the week?
There’s free swimming sessions at Chirk, Gwyn Evans and Waterworld Leisure and Activity centre.
There’s further information here.
5. Craft activities
On Saturday you can take part in free craft activities at the South Arcade of the People’s Market in the town centre.
Don’t forget…if you spot any little gems while you’re out and about, take a pic and enter our Wonders of Wrexham 2018 Calendar Competition.
Just send your photos to calendar@wrexham.gov.uk to enter.
