As of June 21, we’re officially into summer, which probably means you’ll all be looking to do your favourite outdoor summer things…whatever they may be.

And there’s a lot of great stuff you can do outdoors in summer across Wrexham and the surrounding areas, but some of these things can often be quite tough on your wallet or purse.

Do you know what’s a great outdoor summer thing that’s very easy on your pocket? Walking…and in Wrexham we have some truly great country parks that you and your family can enjoy. Just keep your fingers crossed for some good weather 😉

Here’s five of our best country parks you should take advantage of this summer 🙂

1. Bellevue Park

It’s close to the town centre, has wonderful scenery and is generally a great place to visit. What’s not to love?

So if you want to start off with a not-too-strenuous stroll, this might be just the ticket.

2. Alyn Waters

Alyn Waters is always a good choice.

There’s a variety of woodland, grassland or riverside walks for you to choose from.

3. Tŷ Mawr

Tŷ Mawr Country Park is a lovely place to visit.

Whether you want long walks, short walks, great views or farmyard animals – this park has it all covered!

4. Acton Park

Acton Park needs no introduction, but if you haven’t visited in a while, you definitely should.

5. Nant Mill

If you want to learn about the history of the Clywedog Valley, spend time with your family amongst splendid views or have a ramble through the woodlands – Nant Mill caters for all.
