Free to attend – corporate social responsibility learning journey

Are you aware of what corporate social responsibility is and why it’s important?

Are you considering how to include corporate social responsibility within your business? Would you like to learn from a business that’s already successfully started its journey?

If so, we’re excited to be able to invite you to an exclusive free event on corporate social responsibility supported by the UK Government via the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.

The learning journey is kindly being hosted by Aico – a European home-life safety market leader founded in the UK, pioneering new technologies and offering high quality alarms. The event will take place at Aico’s facility in Oswestry on Thursday, September 12 between 10am and 1pm.

The Wrexham Learning Journey will feature:

  • Free coach transport from Wrexham Industrial Estate to Aico’s facility in Oswestry.
  • The chance to learn about Aico’s journey, hear how they’ve built their business values into what they do, and how important corporate social responsibility is to them.
  • A tour of the facility to help to understand the day-to-day operations of Aico.
  • Light lunchtime refreshments – giving attendees time to network with not just businesses, but also social enterprises.

This is a great opportunity to network with businesses based in Wrexham County Borough who are looking to include corporate social responsibility as part of their business.

Councillor Nigel Williams, Wrexham Council’s Lead Member for Economy, Business and Tourism, said: “This is a great opportunity for businesses in the county borough to find out more about corporate social responsibility.

“The learning journey will provide a fascinating behind-the-scenes insight into day-to-day operations and how values have been built, developed, implemented and sustained…with best practice being shared with attendees, which can be taken away and applied locally.”

There are limited spaces and if you would like to join us please email Wrexham Council’s Business and Investment team.
