Adult Learners’ Week is taking place between 9 – 15 September, 2024.

This campaign is a celebration of lifelong learning, aiming to inspire more people to gain and boost skills for work and life.

Learning isn’t just for young people in education – the week aims to highlight the importance of continued learning in adulthood, which could help you:

  • improve your health and wellbeing
  • develop job skills/ progress in your career
  • build better social connections

Are there free courses in Wrexham?

Yes! Along with Flintshire County Council, we’ve formed the North East Wales Adult Community Learning partnership. Through this partnership we’re offering quality adult learning opportunities in our communities, for anyone aged 19 or over.

Recent classes have included:

  • Cooking meals on a budget
  • Crotchet
  • Basic IT skills
  • Smartphone use

While Adult Learners’ Week takes place in September, there are learning opportunities offered throughout the year.

So, even if you don’t have time to join a class right now or can’t spot something you’d like to try make sure to follow/bookmark the page to keep an eye out for future sessions! It will detail all of the available courses on offer throughout north east Wales.
