Wrexham Council is asking local people to help shape the future of adult social care over the next few years.

The council is asking residents to share their views on:

  • How it can work with local people to shape services.
  • How it can help people stay healthy as they get older.
  • How to provide better support for people living with dementia, as well as their carers.
  • How to help people look after their mental wellbeing.
  • How best to support unpaid carers.

The results will inform a number of high-level strategic plans.

It’s important we get it right

There are thousands of individuals and families across Wrexham who receive help from social services – including people living with disabilities, dementia and mobility issues, as well as unpaid carers (people who care for a relative or friend).

The council often organises home care packages, occupational therapy, day care, respite care and other support.

Councillor John Pritchard, Lead Member for Adult Social Care, said: “Social care touches so many lives, in so many different ways.

“So it’s really important we get it right over the next few years, and that we support people in the right way.

“If you can spare 10 minutes, please take part in our survey and tell us what you think.

“We’re keen to hear from as many people as possible, but especially from people who use our services, or act as a carer for a relative or friend.”

The survey closes on June 30. Take part now, and help shape the future.
