We are excited to announce the return of Business Start-up Clinics in Wrexham – but this time with a twist!

Starting on July 22, the clinics are designed to support recently established and aspiring entrepreneurs of any age in developing and refining their business ideas. These sessions will offer both practical guidance and high level advice to help set a foundation for success.

This year participants aged 30+, with a viable business idea, could be presented with an opportunity to pitch to secure upfront funding, with no match requirement, ranging from £500 to £1,500.

This July 22 event will take place at the Development Bank for Wales building on Ellice Way, Wrexham Technology Park. It’s an all-day event with attendees being allocated 30 minute appointments.

Nigel Williams, lead member for economy, business and tourism, said: “This initiative aims to empower local talent, foster innovation and turn great ideas into successful enterprises; it has been enabled by the Shared Prosperity Fund. “If you have have a viable business idea, but need a boost to get you started, I encourage you to contact the team and make an appointment – this could be the start of getting your business idea off the page and into the real world.”

Other funding schemes are available to qualifying individuals aged up to 30, details of which can be provided.

To find out more or book your appointment call the council’s business and investment team on 01978 667000 or email business@wrexham.gov.uk.
