Do you have just one hour a week spare?

Do you want to make a difference to the life of someone living in residential care?

If the answer is yes, Book of You would love to hear from you.

Book of You is a Community Interest Company that uses the power of storytelling to bring people and communities together and would like more volunteers for their Care Home Buddy Scheme.

Book of You is looking for Welsh and English-speaking volunteers to visit care homes across North Wales for an hour each week, to befriend and chat to a resident as part of their Care Home Buddy Project, funded by the People’s Postcode Lottery.

Full training and checks are provided, and you will be awarded Tempo time credits as a thank you for the valuable support.

You can find more information about Tempo time credits on the Tempo website.

A volunteer for Book of You said “I have found supporting the project extremely rewarding and I have looked forward to going to see my lady every week. I do genuinely believe we have both got something from spending time together.”

More information can be found on the Book of You website.

Alternatively, you can contact Joy by email on joy@bookofyou.co.uk or by phone on 07733270711.
