Month of the Military Child is held every year in April. It is a time to highlights the important role service children play in the Armed Forces community and to applaud Armed Forces families and their children for the daily sacrifices they make and the challenges they overcome.
The recent high-profile deployment of HMS Dragon, the Royal Navy ship associated to Wrexham is a timely reminder of the role armed forces personnel and their families play in keeping us all safe.
Armed forces champion, Cllr Beverly Parry Jones said: “The life of a military child often involves moving around, going to new schools and making new friends. “Through having a designated Month of the Military child we recognise and highlight their resilience as they take up roots and adapt to new areas and surroundings.”
