A Wrexham-based joinery manufacturer is set to grow its operations and improve efficiency following support through the Wrexham and Flintshire Investment Zone Programme.
Derwen Joinery Ltd has secured support to invest in new equipment that will help the company increase productivity, improve accuracy and expand its manufacturing capabilities.
Established by directors Jenny Roberts and Philip Roberts, Derwen Joinery produces high-quality timber windows, doors, staircases, fire doors and bespoke joinery products for residential, commercial and heritage projects across the UK. The company is also a BM TRADA-certified fire door manufacturer, reflecting its commitment to quality and safety.
The investment will provide new digital scanning technology, advanced woodworking machinery and specialist tooling, helping the business streamline production, reduce waste and take on more complex projects.
The project builds on Derwen Joinery’s recent investment in a 5-axis CNC machine, which has already helped modernise production processes and support workforce development.
The project was supported by Wrexham County Borough Council’s Business and Investment Team, which worked closely with the company to access funding through the Investment Zone Programme.
