“It has been announced by Buckingham Palace that His Royal Highness, the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip, has passed away.

“It is with great sadness that the Council received this news and it sends its deepest sympathies and those of the people of Wrexham to the Royal Family.

“As a mark of respect the flags have been lowered to half-mast and there is also an online Book of Condolence available immediately at www.wrexhamremembers.wales.”
