There’s some great news for Welsh speakers as it’s confirmed that the Archdruid of Wales, Myrddin ap Dafydd will read poems as part of this year’s Carnival of Words literary Festival.
The poems will come from his collection for his latest poetry volume called Pentref Du, Pentref Gwyn, the title of a poem he wrote for Gwyn Thomas.
Myrddin is the newly elected Archdruid of Wales in the Gorsedd of Bards, and the National Eisteddfod this year will be in his hometown of Llanrwst.
The event takes place on Tuesday 30 April, 7.30pm at Catrin Finch Centre, Wrexham Glyndwr University. Tickets are available from Wrexham Library or www.wrexham.gov.uk/pay.
This event will be held entirely in Welsh.
