We might be able to help.

We’re on the lookout for new artwork for our Art Vend machines, located at spots across Wrexham.

The machines contain small, ball-shaped containers holding small, hand-made works of art – all available for just £1 each!

50 for 50

We’re looking to commission a number of artists to create 50 pieces of small, multiple artworks for £50

The only requirement is that any work submitted is small and arty – so some creative thinking will be needed to make sure they fit into their containers.

“Unmissable opportunity”

Cllr Hugh Jones, Wrexham Council’s Lead Member for Communities, Partnerships, Public Protection and Community Safety, said: “This is an unmissable opportunity for artists who want to get their work into public hands, but might not want to pursue a traditional, gallery route.

“The art vend machines have already helped scores of small, hand-made works of art reach the hands of fans, for less than the price of a cup of coffee.”

Drop us an e-mail

To submit your work or for more details, e-mail typawb@wrexham.gov.uk with the subject header ‘Art Vend 5’.

You’ll also need to provide us with a quick written description of what you’re planning on making, a brief write-up of why you want to take part (200 words max), up to six images of any relevant examples of your previous work, and links to your website or any other online presence.

The deadline for proposals is September 30 – so make sure you get all those details to us before then.

So don’t wait – get started!
