There will be changes to bin collections across Wrexham next week (May 26-May 31) due to the bank holiday Monday.
Collections will be a day later than usual, so if your bin is usually emptied on a Monday for example, it will be emptied on Tuesday.
Or if your bin is usually emptied on a Tuesday, it will be emptied on Wednesday and so on.
The table below sums up the changes…
Normal bin day | Bin day next week (week beginning Monday, May 26) |
Monday | Tuesday, May 27 |
Tuesday | Wednesday, May 28 |
Wednesday | Thursday, May 29 |
Thursday | Friday, May 30 |
Friday | Saturday, May 31 |
Note that if your bin is usually emptied on Friday, it will be emptied on the Saturday morning instead.
The changes will only be in place for a week – everything will go back to normal the week after (week beginning Monday, June 2).

Household recycling centres
If you’re doing a bit of spring cleaning over the bank holiday, remember that our Household Recycling Centres will be open.
The sites offer a wider range of options. For example, you can recycle coffee pods, vapes and cartons, along with wood, hard plastics and metals.
All three sites also have an area set aside for reusable items – to help raise funds for Nightingale House Hospice through the reuse shop at Bryn Lane.
So if you have an old bike that’s in good condition, or a piece of furniture for example, why not set it aside for the hospice shop?
