By now, you’ll probably be fully clued up to the work that’s taken place at the Waterworld Leisure and Activity Centre.
The gym facilities are closed this week for a series of improvements.
But this weekend, the gym and its new facilities will be open to the public.

An open weekend will take place at Waterworld on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20.
A range of activities will be on offer for those who want to try out the gym.
Functional classes will be held on the gym floor, with Master Trainer demonstrations on the new equipment and instructors running trial exercise classes.
Some of the new equipment on offer at the gym includes the new Skill Mill developed by Technogym; the first product which allows everyday gym-goers and training athletes to improve their power, speed, stamina and agility, providing a number of whole-body workouts.
The new Omnia suite, which allows for a number of people to take part in a range of exercises on the same equipment, will also be on display.
And demonstrations will be held of the gym’s new Wellness Key, which allows users to track their fitness and progress across a variety of equipment.
A child-friendly event will also be held at the main pool from 2.30pm until 4.30pm.
“Encourage all to come along”
Cllr Paul Rogers, Lead Member for Youth Services and Anti-Poverty and with responsibility for leisure, said: “The new gym facilities are going to be really impressive and I’d recommend that anyone who’s interested in our gym and leisure services come along to take a look for themselves.
“The Open Weekend will also be a great event for families who might want to make use of other facilities at Waterworld – such as the pool – more often, and as such I’d encourage all those interested to come along.”
Andy Harris, Freedom Leisure Area Manager, said: “We are excited that phase one of the improvement works at Waterworld is coming to fruition and customers will get to see their fantastic new gym, packed with incredible kit.
“We thank everyone for their patience during the work and hope they will join us for the open day.
“We shall now plough on with further phases and works, to include state-of-the-art indoor cycling studio and further improvements to the centre.
“We’d once again like to thank Wrexham County Borough Council for their support.”
