If you, or someone you know, would like to attend the VE Day celebrations in the city centre on May 8, but are worried about walking then why not use ShopMobility.

ShopMobility Wrexham is based on King Street and offers various equipment, for people of all ages, to help people with restricted mobility.

It is free to be a member of ShopMobility. Just call into their office with two forms of ID (one with your photo and one with your address) and complete a short assessment so they can offer you the best scooter for your needs.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 10am to 4pm and they can offer day or overnight/long-term hire of wheelchairs and mobility scooters.

How much does it cost?

Per day:

  • Mobility scooter – £5 per day (available Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm)
  • Wheelchair – £3.50 (available Monday to Friday, 10am – 4pm)

Overnight or long-term hire*:

  • Boot scooter (portable, fits in a car boot) – £10 per day
  • Wheelchair – £5 per day

*a £50 deposit is required for all long-term bookings

All equipment is available for collection and return at the ShopMobility office in Wrexham city centre in the bus station on King Street.

Free membership to ShopMobility can be started any time, so if you think a scooter or wheelchair would be a good solution for you, call in to the office with your two forms of ID and complete the short assessment and you are good to go!
