If this sounds interesting, perhaps being a Shared Lives carer would be for you! you don’t need to have an experience, so read on to find out more…

The Shared Lives service concentrates on older people, people with dementia, early onset dementia or other mental health illnesses, people with learning disabilities and who have been identified as having a need for this service.

Those who care for them are carefully matched for compatibility and considerable time is taken to make sure that everyone is happy and comfortable.

Training is given to all successful applicants and, once in the role, there will be continued ongoing support.
