FOCUS Wales has announced they are working alongside SXSW to present an exciting show in Wrexham during Independent Venue Week, which will take place on Friday 1st February at The Live Rooms, Wrexham featuring three exciting Welsh acts.

Independent Venue Week is a 7-day celebration of small music venues around the country and a nod to the people that own, run and work in them, week in, week out. These venues give artists their first experience of playing live in front of an audience and for fans, somewhere to get up close to artists that one day, may well be playing stadiums and festival main stages.

The Wrexham show will feature performances from two of the nation’s most hotly tipped artists Gallops and Kidsmoke, who will both be flying the flag for Wales at SXSW festival in Austin, Texas this March. The bands will be joined by much hyped newcomers Glove, who have been taken under the wing of the award winning author and music journalist John Robb.
